LatentShift is a place to share what you shipped, not who you outranked. This page is the floor for how we treat each other while we do it.
What's expected.
Be considerate, kind, and constructive to other attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff, and the venue. Disagree on ideas, not on people. Assume good intent, but say something when intent and impact don't match.
Everyone is welcome regardless of background, gender, sexuality, ability, age, religion, employer, or seniority. Public talks, hallway conversations, the after-party, the chat: same floor everywhere.
What's not okay: harassment, slurs, sexual attention that isn't welcome, threats, doxxing, sustained disruption of talks, deliberate intimidation, or recording / photographing people who've asked you not to. Same applies to sponsors at booths and recruiters in the hallway.
If something goes wrong.
Email hey@latentshift.ai or find any organizer wearing an ORG lanyard at the venue. We'd rather hear about something small than miss something big.
You can report on behalf of someone else. You don't need to name yourself. Pseudonymous reports are read with the same weight, though we may not be able to follow up directly.
If the situation is urgent or unsafe, call venue security (numbers posted at the help desk) or local emergency services (112 in Türkiye).
What happens next.
Reports go to a three-person committee made up of organizers. We acknowledge every report within 24h and keep the reporter informed of what we're doing, without exposing them to the person being reported.
Responses scale to the situation: a quiet word, a formal warning, a venue ban for the rest of the day, a refund and removal, or escalation to authorities if a crime has been committed. Sponsors and speakers are held to the same standard as attendees. No exceptions for stage or budget.
We don't share reporter identities outside the committee unless you tell us we can. We don't retaliate, and we don't tolerate retaliation from anyone else.

Our supporting partners are the meetup groups, student clubs, non-profit organizations, open collectives, professional associations, and grassroots communities bringing people together across AI engineering, research, security, design, product, education, and adjacent fields.
This is not just an event. It is a continuation of the community culture we have lived in for years, built together with the people who keep it alive.
Where this applies.
Everywhere LatentShift gathers: the venue (in İstanbul), the stage, the hallway, sponsor booths, the after-party, official chats and channels, and any pre- or post-conference activities organized under the LatentShift name. Online interactions about LatentShift, on X, LinkedIn, Slack, or anywhere else, are in scope too.
